The early stages of scheduling for next year are already underway. Do you know someone who may be a good fit in one of our many tech classes? If so, please share the benefits of adding tech education to the traditional program of studies.
The Homeland Security Program is Recognized at The White House. Mr. Manley and his homeland security students, Andrew and Brooke, just got back from Washington, DC where they received an impressive recognition. FEMA, the U.S. Department of Education, and the Red Cross honored the program as a National Strategy for Youth Preparedness in Education. Eastside's Homeland Security program is the only high school program of its kind in the country to receive this recognition.
Eastside Students Raised Close to $200 for Butch. Butch is a dog that was in a local house fire. He suffered from major burns. The money will help pay for his surgery and medications.
Eastside students joined tens of millions of students around the world for an hour of code. Dr. Jones' advanced computer gaming students led the instruction andexplained how knowing how to code is an important skill in nearly every profession.
